National Black Caucus of State Legislators Mourns Passing of President Bush

The National Black Caucus of State Legislators (NBCSL) sends sincere condolences to the family and friends of George H. W. Bush, the 41st President of the United States, who passed away Friday in Houston at the age of 94. “President Bush was known for his love of family and the United States, putting country first over party,” said Gregory W. Porter, President of NBCSL. “He will be remembered as a true patriot who guided the nation through Desert Storm and the rapidly changing world of the early 1990s.  We can all learn from his belief in public service dating back to his days as a Navy pilot in World War II. The nation has lost a true leader and patriot.
