National Black Caucus of State Legislators Mourns the Loss of Three U.S. Soldiers in a Drone Attack on U.S. Military Outpost in Jordan
Washington, D.C – January 31, 2024– The National Black Caucus of State Legislators (NBCSL) released the following statement regarding the loss of three U.S. soldiers in a drone attack in Jordan:
“The National Black Caucus of State Legislators is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of three U.S. soldiers in a drone attack on a U.S. military outpost in Jordan. Our hearts go out to the families, friends, and comrades of these brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our nation.
We remember Sgt. William Rivers of Carrollton, Georgia; Specialist Kennedy Sanders of Waycross, Georgia; and Specialist Breonna Moffett of Savannah, Georgia, for their unwavering commitment to duty and their courage in the face of danger. Their sacrifice should be commended and will never be forgotten.
The National Black Caucus of State Legislators extends our heartfelt condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers, and we stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time. We also express our gratitude to all the men and women in the U.S. military who put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms and ensure the safety of our nation and its allies.”
