Former AL State Senator Named 15th President of Alabama State University

The National Black Caucus of State Legislators congratulates Dr. Quinton T Ross, Jr, former Alabama State Senator, who was recently selected as president of Alabama State University (ASU). Ross, a celebrated alumnus of ASU and dedicated public servant, served as a member of the Alabama Senate for 15 years. During his legislative tenure, he was one of seven African-American members of the Senate, was the first African-American male to serve as Senate Minority Leader and was the first Minority Leader elected to a four-year term.
