Delegate Adrienne A. Jones becomes Maryland's first African-American speaker of the House

The Maryland House of Delegates has a new speaker. Speaker Pro Tem Adrienne Jones, who dropped out of the running, was elected Wednesday, making history as the first African-American and first female speaker of the House.
