Jasmine Miller is taking on additional responsibilities in further assistance of Representative Amos Quick, in North Carolina. She is working on drafting a penal system and housing reform legislation amid an imbalanced legislature but optimistic about the support they may gain. It is understood that an imbalance of power exists in several of our states and the support of each other is necessary to maintain hope and move the needle by continuing to serve. Jasmine is demonstrating a good sense of what it takes to do the work alongside those who are elected. As she stands in for Representative Quick in meetings with the city and coliseum officials regarding progressive measure to invest in the city of Greensboro and sports arenas for the youth. In addition to this, Jasmine was recently sworn-in as a member of the Guilford County Board of Commissioners Equalization & Review Board – this board discusses and hears appeals on property taxes, both residential and commercial, as well as aid in determining tax value of property. Her work speaks volumes to the additional value she brings to this position and to the National Black Legislative Staff Leadership Council. Today we SPOTLIGHT Jasmine Miller, Legislative Assistant (NC) for her phenomenal work ethic. Congratulations Jasmine! We support you!
