Introduction
SB 384 requires the California State Board of Barbering Cosmetology (BBC) to establish, by regulation, a BBC-offered remedial education program, in lieu of a first offense of a health and safety violation and authorizes BBC to impose a fee to cover the reasonable regulatory cost of administering the program. The BCC strongly supported this legislation.
